Tips for Success with Red Light Therapy
In my two years owning and operating a red light therapy studio, I have helped hundreds of people. Most of our clients come in with pain, or are recovering from an injury or surgery. Some of our clients use red light as an assist to weight loss, or to help reduce inflammation from auto-immune disease, and some use it to help boost recovery from long COVID.
Red Light Therapy reverses oxidative stress and helps speed the healing process in the body.
I have seen a lot of success, and love hearing words of confirmation and seeing positive changes in our clients.
After the initial start-up process, clients feel better, in so many ways! They experience more energy, better skin, reduced stress and anxiety, less body pain and inflammation, they truly feel relief.
Red Light Therapy is a process but those who decide to commit to the program, see and feel results.
Tips for success with Red Light Therapy?
Be consistent
Consistency is key in the beginning. A minimum of two sessions a week is recommended for progress but three times a week is better. Some clients require more sessions for relief, but overall one to two months of consistent treatment is ideal.
Sessions usually last 10 – 20 minutes so clients are in and out in no time.
The first few weeks, Try not to put too many days between appointments. Treatments are cumulative, and you don’t want to lose momentum in the process.
Drink lots of water
Flush the free radicals! Help support the body’s process of detoxing to get the most of your Red Light Therapy treatments.
Pay attention to how you feel & sleep
Feeling tired or energized? Poor sleep or best sleep in years? Noticing pain relief?
All of these little things matter. Pay attention to how you feel and notice your energy levels and how your body is feeling day to day.
Subtle nuances are profound signs that your body is moving in the right direction. You may notice one day, your feet don’t hurt when I get out of bed in the morning! These little things all add to confirm overall better health.
More Red Light is not better
When it comes to session times, finding the right amount of treatment time creates better results than a standard protocol for all. Some clients are very sensitive to red light and see better results with just a few minutes of treatment while some clients feel better with a full 20 minute session. Trust the process, be willing to be flexible, and try smaller amounts of time for better results.
Maintenance protocol
Feeling better? Start spreading out your sessions! Your body will tell you when you need a red light therapy session.
Red Light Therapy is here if you need it. I tell clients that if they become injured, or have surgery, or have a situation that needs healing, I recommend two sessions a week until you are feeling better. Otherwise, one session a week, or every other week, will keep you feeling good.
What makes it all worth it?
Clients sometimes find it hard to believe how much better they feel in just a few weeks.
My favorite client quote?
“I NEVER want to feel that way again!”
Luckily, with Red Light Therapy, she doesn’t have to.
